Chronovore CCG
Help
A short start for Chronovore CCG. The rules cover the same loop in full.
How a match goes
- Bring a legal deck of 30 cards. Your opponent does the same.
- Each of you draws 7. A match lasts 5 rounds.
- Each round, play up to 4 cards from your hand into a row.
- When the row is ready, lock in. Your cards stay where you put them.
- When both players have locked in, the heroes enter from the left and resolve each pair in order.
- A hero at 0 Health has fallen. The last hero standing wins. If both fall together, the match is a draw.
You can play another person or the computer. Both use these rules. Practice against the computer is open from Play, with a deck dealt for you. A match against another person asks you to sign in and to bring a legal deck.
Lock in
Lock in means you are finished placing cards for this round. You may play up to 4 cards, move them between slots, or take one back to your hand. Drag a card, or focus it and press 1–4. Backspace returns a slotted card to your hand. Empty slots are allowed. Once you lock in, that row is fixed. The round starts resolving when both players have locked in. If the 2 minute timer runs out, anyone still choosing is locked in.
Resolve each pair
A pair is the two cards in the same slot: yours and your opponent's. After both players lock in, both heroes walk in from the left and stop on the first pair. Those cards are revealed and resolved. The heroes then step to the next pair, through all 4 slots. Your monster is a fight for your hero. Your event happens for you when you can pay its Coins cost. An empty slot does nothing.
Golden Core Set
Core Set is the card set in the game. A Core Set pack holds 5 cards from that set. A Golden Core Set pack is a Core Set pack in which every card is Golden. Golden is a finish: the card is the same card, and it plays the same way. A new account starts with 30 Core Set packs, 1 Golden Core Set pack, and no cards. The shop sells a Golden Core Set Pack for 40 Gold.
An ordinary Core Set pack can also include a Golden card, about 1 card in 20. The full odds are on the rules page.
Diamond copies
A Diamond copy is a rarer finish of the same card. It plays like a Plain or Golden copy. You cannot shred a Diamond copy, and you cannot craft one. Diamond copies come from rare pack upgrades and from events. A Diamond Core Set Pack costs 2000 Gold and contains only Diamond cards. Details are in the rules.
First session
- Play a practice match. The computer is dealt a ready deck. No account needed.
- Create an account when you want a collection, packs, and matches against another person. It is free and starts with the packs above.
- Open a pack on the Packs page. Five cards join your collection.
- On Decks, choose a class: Medic, Captain, Chaplain, Engineer, or Priest. Add Neutral cards and cards of that class until the list is exactly 30.
- Save the deck. A legal list can be played. A list that misses the rules stays a work in progress.
- Open Play and use that deck against the computer, or wait for another player.
The library shows the Core Set catalog without an account. Your collection, after you sign in, is where ownership lives.
Gold comes from finished matches and buys packs in the shop. Coins sit on your hero during a match and pay for events. Card Fragments come from shredding Plain or Golden copies and are spent to craft those finishes. Diamond copies stay out of shredding and crafting.
